Megan Richards began dancing at the age of six in Glendale, AZ. She found her roots competing at Spisak Dance Academy, but had the privilege of attending various dance studios in the valley. Megan attended Spisak Dance Academy, Foothills Fine Arts Elementary, Diamond Dance Works, and Oasis Dance Company. She is trained in ballet, lyrical, jazz, contemporary, tap, and hip-hop. In high school she was a member

of NHSDA (National Honor Association For Dance Arts) and served as the president of her Performance Dance Team.

Megan’s love for teaching was sparked when she was a teacher assistant to the beginning dance classes at Cactus High School. She adored watching the students achieve their goals and how the freedom of dance created an outlet for the stress of freshman year high school. At the age of 16, she first began teaching preschool gymnastics and dance at Oasis Dance Company. Megan moved to Texas to attend Dallas Baptist University, where she had the joy of being a member of the Patriettes her freshman year. Her favorite memory was traveling to Daytona, FL for NDA Nationals and winning 3rd place with her teammates.

Currently, Megan is studying Nursing at Dallas Baptist University and teaches at various studios in the Dallas Area. She is also a soldier in the TX Army National Guard. Megan is passionate about sharing her love of dance with the next generation, 2am milkshake runs, and hard work.
